I’ll keep this one short and sweet: a dad could not be prouder of a kid than I am of my kiddo. The way you are dedicating yourself to your school work and always trying to do the right thing is wonderful. There is no better feeling in the world than watching your kid surpass your own accomplishments in high school. Don’t be like me – be BETTER than me.
You are the reason I run, buddy. You’re the reason I ran my first marathon, and you’ll always be the reason why I’ll finish every race that I start. You can do anything you pour your heart in to. If you try hard enough, you will accomplish wonders.
The way I see you studying, even on the weekends, just shows me that you are 100% focused and committed to being the best student – and the best person – you can be. That was NOT me in high school. I didn’t study much – and my grades were not what I wanted them to be. I used to go into exams and hope for some good luck. Well, I am glad you get the message: that luck is the last dying wish of those who want to believe that success can happen purely by accident. Hard work, on the other hand, is for those who know it’s a choice.
Just keep being the awesome person you are, and you will make a difference in the world.
Happy Birthday, Buddy!
