Thoughts of the Day:

Slept awesome – I think that’s the key to everything.  I was so fried last night that I couldn’t help but crash and burn early.  I think I got 8 hours of sleep in – and I have NO IDEA when was the last time I could say that.  The morning workout was awesome: I did some strength training, then completed a 15 minute time trial (just to figure out the size of the piano that I currently walk around strapped to by back), and I finished it off with a 55 minute bike.  My focus has been on burning calories and jacking up my metabolism early in the morning, hoping that it will help burn more calories throughout the day.

So then what did I do?  I ate crappy food for breakfast.  I caved.  Again.  DAMMIT.  And here’s the thing: it didn’t even taste good AT ALL.  And why did I cave?  Because once again I failed to prep my food for the day last night before I crashed.  DUMB DUMB DUMB.

I worked through lunch today, and had good ol’ angel hair pasta for dinner.  Why?  Because I made a TON of it.  And WHY did I make a ton of it?  Because I don’t measure anything.  “Oh look – a box of pasta.  Cook the whole thing – why not?”  That’s how my mind works.  Took the evening to rest – and prepare my food for manana.

Yanks are playing the A’s in the Wild Card Game this evening – so LETS GO YANKS!!!!!!
