When Leonidas of Sparta was told by the Persian king to lay down his weapons, that was his answer. Molon Labe. “Come and take them”. Be defiant in training.

Today was interesting.  Yesterday was a VERY long day, and by the time I crashed I was absolutely fried.  The mix of long commuting times, medication and stress culminated in me sleeping right through my alarm this morning at 3:30.  So much for the morning workout.  Made up for it in the evening with s spin class and some yoga.  Felt guilty missing a workout – but I REEEAlly needed the rest.

Bottom line: listen to your body.  If it needs rest, then REST.  It helps you heal and makes tomorrow’s training session better.

Feed the wolf…..every day.

Day Two of training. The morning was rough.  I’m on some medication, so I felt completely wiped out last night.  Slept right through the 3:30am alarm and woke up in a rush to get out the door for work.  My evening workout had to make up for my missed morning session.  So…..I started with some strength work and some time on the dreadmill.  Then I hit the bike for a quick spin before shutting it down for the evening.  Before I crashed for the night, I did a little yoga – and by a little yoga, I mean I basically watched a yoga class while trying to touch my toes for a full 20 minutes.  The best I could do was just wave at them from a distance.  They got the message.
